I saw an auction for one on ebay recently and the seller said they had no way of knowing if it really was authentic or not. Are these marked in any way as an AG product? What about the new clothes press and the furniture that is part of all the other girls' collections?
Thanks,
Lisa

Good question. I don't think the furniture is marked. When I bought mine, it was directly from the company.
You could perhaps ask how heavy the wood is that the clothes press is made from. The Pleasant Co. clothes press and Felicity's table and chairs that I bought in the mid 1990's were beautifully finished to look like real wood but were actually not real solid wood throughout. If the one for sale is such a good copy that no one can tell the difference, and you really like it, I'd probably try bidding on it regardless. A really good copy would be hand made from real wood -- which personally I would find more valuable rather than less.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I think Felicity's retired clothes press is probably the one item I dream about having the most. Since I'm new to all this I'll have to break DH into this slowly though.
In the meantime I'll just continue to dream about it!
